Ornodolomedes facetus |
(ID by Dr. R. Raven, Qld. Mus.)
female: 9-10 mm|
male: 8-9 mm
This spider is likely to be found on or under green leaves in warmer and wetter forests
The toxicity of the venom of this species is unknown
Dr. Robert Raven (Queensland Museum) has advised that this specimen, which was found on a fence post in a near-bushland setting at Crows Nest
(on the Darling Downs near Toowoomba) appears to be an undescribed species similar to several Ornodolomedes species that have
been found in South Queensland coastal localities.
Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Only other Ornodolomedes species.
