The identification of this species is based on the information contained in the following paper: ZabkaM. and Gray M.R. (2002) "Salticidae (Arachnida: Araneae) from Oriental, Australian and Pacific Regions XVI. New Species of Grayenulla and Afraflacilla", Records of the Australian Museum, 54, 269-274.

The pattern of light and dark markings on the dorsal surfaces of this spider make it relatively easy to recognize.

Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Only other Afraflacilla species.
