This species does not build a web or snare but rests on bark of similar colour so that it is not detected by prey that approach it
Probably harmless to humans but handle with caution
This spider is not often found but can be recognized by its uniform brown colour, unusually stout first pair of legs and overall shape. The abdomen of the female is more rounded than that of the male.
Known range: Recorded as being from Bundaberg south to Victoria and also in Launceston and Perth.
