this species may be found under loose bark or in leaf litter
May at least produce local inflammation and pain so handle with caution
There is some uncertainty as to the species name shown on this page but it is used because the two pairs of curving white bands on the dorsal
abdomen of this spider are present in the 1991 Zabka paper only on Holoplatys minuta. Unfortunately, Zabka makes no mention of the orange distal leg segments
that the spider shown above has.
Spider(s) with a very similar appearance: Many other Holoplatys species.
